Lhasa River Railway Bridge of Qinghai-Tibet Railway is located in the southwestern rural area in Lhasa, around 10 kilometers away from the center of the city. It's the last extra large bridge of the railway after entering Lhasa City. This bridge crosses above the Lhasa River, complementing the Potala Palace over a distance. Construction of the bridge was started on May 9,2003 and finished on May 13, 2005. The total lengh of Lhasa River Railway Bridge is 928.85 and 3700 meters above sea level. The pier of the main bridge is designed as yak's leg while the approach's pier is designed as snow lotus. This bridge, with 108-meters main span, is the important and remarkable project of Qinghai-Tibet Railway.
