Home: Duling Mausoleum
Duling Mausoleum, the tomb of Liuxun, the emperor Xuandi of Han Dynasty, located in south of San Zhao village in Qujiang country in Xi'an, Shanxi Province. It was built in first year of the reign of Yuankang Emperor (B.C65). Emperor Xuandi of the Han Dynasty was buried here in the first year of Chuyuan (48BC). This is the one that is largest and most-intact tomb of the imperial tombs of Western Han Dynasty. From 1982 to 1984, Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences made the drilling and excavation of the Imperial Tombs and the site of Imperial Bedroom Relics and Mausoleum. The unearthed relics are iron knives, iron fork, solder iron, gilt bronze components, iron arrowhead and five baht money as well as Daquan 50, etc. In 1988, State Council of People Republic of China listed the Mausoleum as the key national historical sites under regional protection. Liuxun (B.C91-B.C49), charactering Ciqing, reigned for twenty six years(B.C74-B.C49), died of illness and buried in Du tomb.
