Home: Han Anling Mausoleum
Han Anling Mausoleum, located in the Bai Miao village in ZhengYang town in Wei Cheng district in Xian Yang city, is the joint burial tomb of the second Emperor Liu Ying and Empress Zhang of the Western Han Dynasty. The mausoleum is divided into three parts: cemetery, memorial counties and accessory zone.
The packed earth is in the shape of rammed bucket. At the bottom, it stretches 170 meters east to west and 140 meters north to south. And at the top, it stretches 65 meters east to west and 40 meters south to north, and 25 meters high. Away from 270 meters of North-West of Mausoleum, it is the mausoleum of Empress Zhang Xiao Sui. Empress Zhang (?-163 B.C) Yan, niece of Liu Ying, who is appointed to be married with his uncle by Empress Lu. She is buried in Anling Mausoleum after she died. Empress Zhang is jointly buried in Anling, rather than "building a new tomb", which is built for his descendant. The packed earth is in the shape of bucket. At the bottom, it is stretches 60 meters east to west and 50 meters south to north. And at the top, it stretches 20 mrters long and 12 meters high. Away from 900 meters of north of Mausoleum, it is Anling County. The east of Mausoleum is accessory zone, only two packed earths are still in existence, where ever a pit of burying clay figures was excavated. According to historical documents, the accessory people include Princess LuYuan, Chen Ping, Zhang Cang, Yuan Ang, Yang Xiong, etc. Han Anling Mausoleum is designated the important heritage site under provincial protection in ShanXi Province in 1956, and is designated the important heritage site under state protection in 2001.

Emperor Han Hui, Liu Ying(210B.C- 188 B.C), the son of Han Gaozu and Empress Lu, died in Wei Yang Palace on August in the seventh year of Emperor Hun (188 B.C), and is buried in Anling Mausoleum. He is in power from 195 B.C to 188 B.C.
